Sanford M. Schwartz, Founder & Chair
Research Horizons LLC
Sanford founded CitySquash in 2001. A strong believer in the enrichment program model pioneered by CitySquash’s sister programs in Roxbury and Harlem, Sanford works closely with the CitySquash staff and Board to improve the breadth and scope of organization. Sanford received his B.A. from George Washington University in 1973, a Ph.D. in Sociology from Catholic University in 1983, and an M.S.W. degree from Fordham University in 2005. A resident of Scarsdale, New York, Sanford is the President of Research Horizons, a marketing research firm, and previously held executive positions at other marketing research firms, including Market Facts, Elrick and Lavidge, Quick Test and Westat. Sanford has his own clinical practice and is a Board member of FJC – a foundation of donor advised funds. An avid squash player since the mid-1980’s, Sanford claims that he is still learning how to play the game.

William A. Douglass, III
K2 Advisors
“Doug” joined the CitySquash Board in 2006. In 1994, Doug founded K2 Advisors, a fund of hedge funds based in Stamford, Connecticut. Prior to founding K2, Doug worked in the investment business in institutional sales, first at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities, and later at Tiedemann International Research, Ltd. Doug earned a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1984. Doug is involved with numerous nonprofit organizations and has served on the Board of Trustees of Outward Bound USA. Doug lives in Brooklyn, sails competitively, and has two children, one of whom is a top ranked junior squash player.

Icy Frantz
Icy joined the CitySquash Board in
2009. Icy graduated from Trinity College in 1994 and attended
Columbia School of Social Work before becoming the Assistant Director
of the International Institute for Alcoholism Education and Training.
She created a substance abuse prevention program which she taught at
Greenwich Academy, a girls K-12 day school in Greenwich, and through
the Freedom Institute, an early intervention program located in New
York City. Icy sat on the Board of Greenwich Academy from 1995-2001
and is currently a member of the Almunae Board. She sits on the
advisory boards of the Greenwich Teen Center and the Greenwich Point
Conservancy. From 2002-2005 she volunteered at Blythedale Children’s
Hospital, a long term rehabilitation Center. She currently resides in
Riverside, Connecticut with her husband and four children where she
wrote and published Sargeant’s Heaven, a book to help children
process loss. She is currently working on her second book. Icy played
squash at St. Paul’s School and Trinity College and now she enjoys
playing singles with her son and doubles with anyone who is game.

Teri Galluccio
Teri joined the CitySquash Board in
2009. Born in Montana, raised in California, Teri, a Communications
Studies major at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, comes from the squash
sidelines where she and her family have been long time supporters of
CitySquash. Her three sons have developed lifelong friendships with
CitySquash team members. She and her husband, Nick, make their home -
and make room for lots of squash gear - in Greenwich, CT with sons:
Christopher, Robert and Thomas, who play squash on the teams at
Denison University, St. Luke’s School, and Rye Country Day School,
respectively. An active volunteer, Teri enjoys helping others through
community involvement and serves on many school, church and community
committees. When she isn’t watching squash, she enjoys sunshine,
skiing, gardening, getaways to northwest Connecticut with family and
friends and exploring the endless culinary delights Arthur Avenue has
to offer.

Michael Luskin
Hughes, Hubbard & Reed LLP
Michael is a founding member of the CitySquash Board. A partner of Hughes, Hubbard & Redd LLP, Michael specializes in bankruptcy law, representing banks, finance companies, equipment lessors and other creditors. He is involved in numerous charitable organizations, among them the Jewish Home and Hospital, UJA-Federation of New York, and his college and law school alumni organizations. He received his B.A. from Harvard College in 1973 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1977. Michael lives in Scarsdale, New York, and is an avid squash player whose energy, he says, far exceeds his ability. Michael also sails and skis.

Robert C. Osborne Jr.
The Osborne Group, Inc.
Robert joined the CitySquash Board in 2005. As vice president of the The Osborne Group, Inc., Robert advises not-for-profit organizations on campaign planning, leadership and major gifts, annual giving, board management, and marketing. Previously, Robert was director of development first at the New York based St. Aloysius School, then at the Center for Constitutional Rights, also in New York. A published writer and experienced grants writer, Robert serves as a member of the board of Brooklyn Community and Housing Services and the Neighborhood Economic Development Advocacy Project. A resident of Manhattan, Bob graduated with a B.A. from Cornell University in 1993. Bob became addicted to squash, he claims, on the first day that he was introduced to the sport in the spring of 2004.

Palmer Page
Palmer joined the CitySquash Board in 2006. He earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1972 and after graduation worked at IBM for 30 years. At IBM, Palmer was responsible for all pricing of IBM systems and software in Asia and Australia (during which time he played for the Japanese national squash team), and later helped start the Commercial Finance division of IBM Credit. Subsequently, Palmer became the first CEO of US Squash and during his tenure implemented internet player support, restructured operations, and oversaw the Centennial Ball, the largest fundraiser in the history of the organization. Palmer holds three national squash titles, and in addition to squash loves to ski. He serves on the boards of Surf City Squash and SquashEmpower and is a member of the Church and Ministry Committee of the UCC in SE Connecticut. Palmer has six children and lives in Pound Ridge, New York.

Peer T. Pedersen Jr.
Blue Orchid Capital
Peer joined the CitySquash Board in 2003. A managing partner of Blue Orchid Capital, a fund of hedge funds which he co-founded in 2003, Peer has spent his career in finance, working at firms such as the Pearl Street Group, Credit Suisse First Boston, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, NatWest Markets, and PW Group, Inc. Peer earned a B.A from Dartmouth College in 1978 and an M.B.A. from Wharton in 1983. A co-founder of the Steamboat Foundation, Peer is also on the board of trustees of The Brunswick School, and he is a former board member of The Hotchkiss School and St. Vincent’s Hospital. Introduced to squash in college, Peer has been a devoted player ever since and in 2003 he won the 45+ U.S. Doubles Nationals Championships with fellow CitySquash Board member Peter Briggs. Peer lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Gillian Steel
Gillian joined the CitySquash Board in 2003. After receiving her B.A. from the University of Colorado, in Boulder, in 1972, Gillian worked as an assignment editor at CBS's WBBM-TV in Chicago. Upon receiving a master's degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 1981, Gillian was a copy editor at Crain's Chicago Business, also in Chicago. Now a resident of Greenwich, Connecticut, Gillian has been a Greenwich Academy trustee, and is currently on the boards of the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx and the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich. Gillian learned to play squash in Chicago, and remains an enthusiast, regularly watching her daughter Charlotte, who plays for Brown University.

Jeffrey P. Wiegand
Robotti & Company
Jeff is a founding member of the CitySquash Board. Currently a research analyst at Robotti & Company, an investment firm, Jeff previously practiced law in New York City. Jeff earned his B.A. from Harvard College in 1976, an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Michigan in 1978, and a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1982. While at Harvard, Jeff was a teammate of fellow CitySquash Board member Peter Briggs and later captained the team to the 1976 national intercollegiate team title. He is now busy raising six children in New Rochelle, New York, and enjoys playing squash recreationally. Jeff previously served on the board of Amistad Mission, an orphanage and mountain medical clinic in Bolivia, and as a trustee of Holy Family Church in New Rochelle.

Tim Wyant
CitySquash
Tim joined the CitySquash Board in 2009. Tim was hired by CitySquash’s Board of Directors in 2002 to launch and
run the organization. Before joining CitySquash, Tim was a four-time
All-American and two-time captain on the varsity squash team at Harvard
College, where he received a B.A. in 2000 in Comparative Religion. At
Harvard, Tim volunteered for SquashBusters, the country’s first urban
squash program. After graduation, Tim competed on the professional
squash tour for two years. He has represented the United States in
international squash competitions five times. Tim has served on the
boards of US Squash and the National Urban Squash and Education
Association. Tim grew up in Cincinnati and lives in the Bronx.
